Rama Nicholas is a multi-award-winning Comedian, Actor, Improviser, Writer and Director. She is known for her critically acclaimed, one woman, multi character solo shows, which are a unique blend of intricate character comedy and incredible storytelling.
In 2014 Rama was the recipient of the Melbourne ‘Moosehead’ award for comedy and Winner of the Brisbane Tour 2017 award. Rama has been nominated twice for the highly coveted ‘Golden Gibbo’ award for independent comedy at one of the world’s largest comedy festivals, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2014 and 2017.

Residing in Melbourne, Rama is a former member of ‘Impro Melbourne’s’ ensemble cast of 13 years in which she performed, produced and directed. She is also an ensemble member of the acclaimed ‘Orcas Island Project’, 15 improvisers from around the world come together every year to create and perform cutting edge improvised theatre.
She is the creator of three critically acclaimed improvisation formats which have been showcased in many countries.
Rama travels the world performing, directing and teaching improvisation at Improvisation festivals and with various international theatre companies.
